Pencil Pleat Heading
Curtains – All Curtains are dry clean only
Curtains will be made to the following specification:
Overlock seams, Blind stitch bottom hem, Overlock bag lined, Blind stitched
sides on unlined. 3” 3 pocket Rufflette tape as standard, Mitred
spot track corners. All curtains will be lined with sateen twill as
standard unless otherwise stated.
When ordering pencil pleat curtains or valances, please tell us your
track or pole width and we will recommend the curtain or valance width
to give the best fit.
Please note that we always show the ungathered curtain or valance width.
Curtains & valances are supplied ungathered for you to gather to
the required width.
Pencil Pleat curtains and valances are available to fit all curtain
track and pole widths from 97cm to 470cm*. Curtains can be made to any
cm drop up to a maximum of 366cm.
* Sizes based on regular width fabrics. Curtains using narrower fabric
widths (120-122cm) are available to fit curtain / track widths from
82cm to 454cm.
Pinch Pleat Heading
Pinch pleat is a decorative heading for curtains and valances, suitable
for all types of curtain track and pole. Pinch pleats are more gathered
than other headings and have permanent sewn-in pleats for a more luxurious,
tailored look. We use Buckrum Pinch Pleat, 4 pleats per width with pin
hooks.
When ordering pinch pleat curtains or valances, please tell us your
track or pole width and we will recommend the curtain or valance width
to give the best fit. Pinch Pleats can often require more widths of
fabric for a given track/pole width so pinch pleat curtains can be quite
a bit more expensive than other headings. The difference in price for
all heading options is shown when pricing a curtain.
Please note that we always show the ungathered curtain or valance width.
We will gather your curtains (or valance) to the correct size to fit
your track or pole.
N.B. As pinch pleat is a fixed, sewn-in heading, it is important that
you quote an accurate track/pole width when ordering pinch pleats. This
will allow us to gather your curtains (or valance) to the correct width.
Please note that the size and spacing of the pleats will vary slightly
from the picture depending on your track/pole width.
Measuring
Pinch Pleat curtains are available to fit all track and pole widths
from 97cm to 378cm*. Curtains can be made to any cm drop up to a maximum
of 366cm.
* Sizes based on regular width fabrics. Curtains using narrower fabric
widths (120-122cm) are available to fit curtain / track widths from
82cm to 336cm.
Tab Top Heading
Tab Top is a contemporary heading suitable for curtain poles with a
diameter of up to 45mm (1 3/4"). Tabs are always made in the same
fabric as the curtains.
When ordering eyelet curtains, please tell us your pole width (measuring
between the finials) and we will recommend the curtain width to give
the best fit. Tab Top headings usually require fewer widths of fabric
than other headings for a given pole width so can be quite a bit more
economical. The difference in price for all heading options is shown
when pricing a curtain.
N.B. Tab top headings are not suitable for curtain tracks, bay windows
(without a special pole), or valances. Tabs measure 4” deep and
are 2” wide with 8 tabs per width.
Measuring
Tab Top curtains are available to suit all curtain pole widths from
148cm to 614cm*. Curtains can be made to any cm drop up to a maximum
of 366cm.
* Sizes based on regular width fabrics. Curtains using narrower fabric
widths (120-122cm) are available to fit curtain / track widths from
122cm to 545cm.
Eyelet Heading
Eyelet heading is a contemporary alternative for use with curtain poles,
folding curtains into large even pleats. The eyelets have an internal
diameter of 40mm and are suitable for curtain poles with a diameter
of up to 30mm. Eyelets are available in 4 colours.
When ordering eyelet curtains, please tell us your pole width (measuring
between the finials) and we will recommend the curtain width to give
the best fit.
Please note that we always show the ungathered curtain. This is the
width of curtain required to allow your curtains to hang in the large,
even pleats which characterise eyelet headings.
N.B. Eyelet headings are not suitable for curtain tracks, bay windows
(without a special pole), or valances.
Measuring
Eyelet curtains are available to suit all curtain pole widths from
97cm to 470cm*. Curtains can be made to any cm drop up to a maximum
of 366cm.
N.B. When measuring curtain drop for eyelet curtains always measure
from the top of the pole to where you wish the bottom of the curtain
to finish and add 3cm. It is important that the 3cm is included in the
curtain drop quoted on the order form as eyelet headed curtains stand
3cm above the curtain pole.
* Sizes based on regular width fabrics. Curtains using narrower fabric
widths (120-122cm) are available to fit curtain / track widths from
82cm to 454cm.

are 38cm (14") deep approx, shaped valances are 46cm (18")
deep approx at the outer edge rising to 30cm (12") approx in the
centre. Valances can be made either lined or unlined although we always
recommend ordering lined valances with lined curtains.

Tiebacks are available in plain or piped . Two different sizes are available.
Tie backs are made to suit curtains, We will supply the most appropriate
sizes based on the size of curtains required.
Cushions
Our online range includes cushion covers in both piped and plain styles.
Please see below for details.
Cushions are 43cm (17") square. Using same fabric for self piped.
Both styles are sized to take a 45cm (18") pad.
Curtains
Lining
For improved drape we recommend that all curtains (and valances) are
lined. We use sateen twill as standard.
All curtains (and valances / Roman blinds) are available with blackout
lining. The additional price is shown when pricing your curtains. We
use a 3-pass white blackout lining.
Please note that although the lining is blackout some light will still
be visible around the edge of the curtain or blind. To minimise this
effect, please ensure that your curtains (or blind) extend at least
10cm beyond each edge of the window.
Pattern Matching
Each pair of curtains is pattern-matched (from the bottom), although
two pairs of curtains are not guaranteed to match each other. If you
require two or more pairs of curtains to pattern-match each other, please
visit one of our stockists.
